PMC3 PMC3 fires at an even lower temperature (1290 F) which not only allows implants (sterling findings, glass) but means alternative, low tech firing devices become possible. Scientists at the Mitsubishi laboratory in Japan have developed a material they call PMC3. It is similar to PMC+ in consistency, shrinkage and strength. The primary difference is in its firing temperature which is significantly lower than the other versions. PMC original PMC original is a much larger lump of clay than PMC+, however it's fired weight is almost the same (1oz.). It is soft and buttery to work with. Shrinks 29%, fires to .999 fine silver.
